Senior AI Programmer (Frostpunk 1886)

• At least 8 years of professional experience in a similar role
• At least 5 years of professional experience with Unreal Engine
• Deep practical knowledge of C++
• Deep understanding of gameplay systems, player experience, and modern game design
• Proven ability to design, implement, and own complex gameplay features and systems from concept to release
• Ability to define gameplay programming standards, best practices, and development workflows
• Ability to identify technical risks, propose solutions, and drive technical decisions across multiple features
• Experience mentoring other programmers and providing technical guidance
• Taking ownership and working iteratively on features from design to delivery
• Experience in the architecture and implementation of AI behaviour systems
• Experience working on strategy or citybuilding games is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of crowd simulation systems capable of handling hundreds of agents is beneficial
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English

• Designing and implementing modifications, enhancements, and fixes to existing AI modules according to project requirements
• Assessing project requirements and selecting appropriate implementation approaches
• Maintaining codebase
• Diagnosing and resolving programming errors
• Collaborating closely with other development team members

This position requires working at the Warsaw office in a hybrid model – 3 days in the office, 2 days remotely.
