Fullstack Engineer

esurance is a Swiss InsurTech offering a SaaS platform that connects SMEs, insurance providers, brokers, and business application providers. Founded in 2013, the company aims to simplify health insurance for small businesses. The team operates hybrid from Zürich or remotely across Europe, emphasizing trust, openness, and mutual respect.

• MSc Computer Science or similar.
• 7 - 10 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React plus a modern SSR framework (React Router v7, Remix, or Next.js) and Node.js.
• Strong testing skills with Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook interaction tests/component-driven.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with AWS services: Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, and infrastructure as code tools (Pulumi).
• Agile/DDD experience in cross-functional teams.

Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills:

• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Fluent English; German, Polish, and Ukrainian are nice to have.

• Collaborate in refinement sessions with product and tech teams to ensure feature clarity and feasibility.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web APIs using Node.js and microservices architecture principles.
• Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Work closely with Product Owners to clarify feature requirements and ensure business context is well-understood.
• Align feature architecture with Tech Leads to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Ensure features meet the Definition of Done with robust test coverage (unit, integration, E2E).
• Support incident response and production issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to knowledge sharing in technical best practices.

This Poland-based role requires residency in Poland and is not a globally remote position. The contract form is Umowa o Pracę (employment contract, gross).
