Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska is a company working on Emergency Call Management public safety products, involving site reliability engineering to improve reliability across the product suite.

• 4+ years of professional software development or site reliability engineering experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications.
• Experience developing REST-based APIs and implementing microservice principles and architectures.
• Experience with modern DevOps tooling, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with designing high availability architectures.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring.
• Familiarity with automated testing.
• Familiarity with network concepts and protocols such as OSI, SIP, HTTP, and WebSockets.
• Creativity and persistence in solving complex problems.
• Enthusiasm for learning key technologies, architectures, processes, and best practices.

Site reliability engineering activities:

• Implementation of Monitoring/Observability objectives including maintenance of alert response playbooks.
• Creation and reinforcement of high availability (HA) and reliability strategy.
• Triage of customer-reported incidents and problems with troubleshooting and problem management skills.
• Maintenance and reporting of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budget.
• Facilitation of Chaos Engineering activities across engineering teams.
• Developing the SRE culture and sharing best practices within the Emergency Call Management organization.
• On-call support and incident command to maintain direction of incident processes and meet regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assisting customer support teams in creating customer-facing communication documents.
• Facilitation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis with multiple engineering teams.
