Senior Azure Data Engineer

Our client operates a multitenant SaaS platform and is considering Azure stack options such as Microsoft OneLake and Fabric. They integrate LLMs with existing data schemas to enable AI-driven reporting.

• Senior experience designing and implementing medallion lakehouse architectures on Azure, including platforms like Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, or similar
• Strong SQL Server tuning and architecture expertise
• Ability to operate as an architect and technical advisor at a senior level, not primarily as a coder
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in engineering with a clear understanding of their strengths and limitations
• Practical experience integrating LLMs with structured data schemas and judging output reliability
• Excellent communication skills in English

• Designing and implementing bronze, silver, and gold data layers using medallion architecture on Azure
• Designing and implementing data transformation pipelines for a multitenant SaaS platform
• Guiding stack and architecture decisions where the technical approach is not yet finalized
• Tuning SQL Server performance and providing architectural guidance and support to engineering teams
• Formulating structured requests to LLMs to integrate schemas for AI-driven reporting, and assessing response accuracy
• Using AI tools to drive implementation rather than relying primarily on manual coding
