Business Analyst (timezone: CET or NALA)

Avenga is hiring a Senior Business Analyst (Manufacturing) to support Roche Pharma Global Technical Operations' Enterprise Recipe Management initiative. The role involves working closely with pharmaceutical manufacturing domain experts, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify business opportunities and enhance system integration across multiple platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of experience as Functional Architect and/or Business Analyst/Consultant in pharmaceutical or Life Sciences
• Hands-on understanding of product recipe design and parameter definition in manufacturing systems such as PLM, MES, LIMS, ERP
• Proven experience in system integration projects involving DeltaV, SAP S4 HANA, ELN, MES, ERP, LIMS, or PLM
• Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into structured functional and non-functional requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate globally
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for drug substances and drug products
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and maintain productive discussions
• Availability between 3–7 PM CET for EU-US team collaboration
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with ISA-95 / ISA-88 principles and enterprise-level integration
• Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies
• Previous Roche experience or work in regulated environments
• Knowledge of data interoperability, reporting standards, and business process mapping
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, relational data structures, and reporting systems

• Interview business stakeholders, system responsibles, and domain leads to identify business opportunities and assess their value and size
• Design and document business process flows and user stories related to Emerson PKM, MES, LIMS, ERP, and PLM systems
• Create functional specifications, architecture decision records, and technical documentation for PKM configurations, integrations, and reporting requirements
• Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams on business processes, data flows, system capabilities, and architecture
• Identify relevant Generative AI/ML use cases within manufacturing and support their implementation

Availability between 3–7 PM CET "golden hours" is mandatory to enable collaboration between EU and US teams. The position requires fluency in English (C1 level).
