Mid Data Engineer

DataFuze is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in data-related roles, focusing on modern cloud-based data stacks and the Snowflake ecosystem.

• 2–4 years of experience working with data.
• Advanced SQL skills including query optimization, procedures, and window functions.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle).
• Very good command of dbt (data build tool).
• Experience with orchestration tools, preferably Apache Airflow.
• Experience in designing data models (star schema, snowflake schema, Vault 2.0).
• Good knowledge of Python and version control with Git.
• Experience using AI assistants for code generation, modification, and documentation automation.
• Ability to apply AI for query analysis and optimization with privacy awareness.
• Familiarity with native AI features in cloud environments, such as Snowflake Cortex AI, is a plus.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks) is an advantage.
• Willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks and mentoring others.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to pursue certifications like Snowflake SnowPro Core.

• Deliver assigned project modules independently from start to finish.
• Design data models such as star schema, snowflake schema, and Vault 2.0.
• Use AI assistants to generate and modify code in SQL, dbt, and Python for data workflows including Apache Airflow.
• Automate documentation generation for data models and code.
• Analyze and optimize query performance using AI, while maintaining awareness of data privacy risks.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Propose improvements to project architecture proactively.
• Engage in professional certification activities such as Snowflake SnowPro Core.
