Senior QA Specialist

Axence Sp. z o.o. Sp. j. develops software that streamlines and simplifies IT departments' work and educates about cybersecurity. The company delivers IT solutions both in Poland and globally, emphasizing agility and creativity. The role is within the existing QA team cooperating closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure solution quality.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software testing experience.
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
• Experience analyzing business and functional requirements and identifying related risks.
• Ability to design test scenarios and cases considering business risk.
• Experience planning test scope and prioritizing testing activities.
• Proficiency in manual, exploratory, regression, acceptance, and non-functional testing.
• Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL for analyzing and verifying test data.
• Ability to diagnose and precisely report defects.
• Self-reliant with excellent work organization and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in English for reading technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
• Experience testing desktop or native Windows applications.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with database management tools such as pgAdmin.
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyze, gather, and refine business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure solution quality.
• Own selected product areas or business domains end-to-end.
• Design test scenarios and cases considering risk and business impact.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, acceptance, and non-functional tests.
• Test APIs and verify data necessary for testing processes.
• Report, analyze, and verify reported defects.
• Manage the defect lifecycle and support prioritization with the business and Product Owners.
• Analyze the impact of changes on existing functionalities and business processes.
• Estimate test scope and effort required to verify new features.
• Co-create test strategies for new features and projects.
• Create test reports and product quality and release readiness recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis after critical defects or production incidents.
• Propose and implement improvements to the testing process.
• Co-create testing standards and quality definitions within the team.
• Support development of less experienced testers through consultations, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Support the technical support team in customer request analysis and resolution.
