Senior Software & Platform Engineer

CloudFerro creates technologies used by leading European science and space sector organizations including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, and EGI. The role is part of the Enterprise Architecture team, which sets architectural and engineering standards across the organization and directly supports product teams on demanding projects such as satellite data processing for ESA.

• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience building high-performance distributed systems and understanding architectural challenges.
• Strong knowledge of Python or Golang with high standards of clean code.
• Understanding of Kubernetes from an application perspective and ability to debug complex issues on K8s.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD, GitOps, and Observability standards (including Prometheus and Thanos).
• Ability to share knowledge, lead technical discussions, and support other engineers.
• Higher education degree in computer science or related field.
• Communicative English language skills.
• Willingness to work hybrid (minimum 3 days per week from Warsaw office).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Golang (as also mentioned among nice-to-have technologies).

Enterprise Architecture:

• Define architectural patterns in Observability, CI/CD, GitOps, and Kubernetes.
• Support development teams with consulting on complex technological, performance, and integration challenges.
• Participate proactively in designing highly available and scalable technical and business solutions.
• Promote code quality, testing practices (TDD), code reviews, and process optimization with AI tools.

• Work mode is hybrid with minimum 3 days weekly presence required in the Warsaw office.
• English language communication required.
