Senior Software Engineer - Java

Auctane Poland Sp. z o.o. is expanding its engineering teams in Poland, focusing on international products and collaboration across global environments. The Polish hub is part of the core engineering organization, emphasizing growth and development for experienced professionals.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Over 5 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years using Java 17+ and Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Proven ability to architect and maintain large-scale software systems
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering focusing on code quality and scalability
• Leadership capabilities without formal management title
• Proactive problem identification and solving skills
• Passion for continuous improvement and keeping up with engineering practices
• Collaborative across teams
• Ability to balance pragmatism with technical excellence
• Experience advocating for quality and engineering rigor within organizations
• Proficiency in Polish and English languages is required

• Design and architect core components of the Playwright-based test automation framework
• Lead platform engineering decisions and establish architectural best practices
• Mentor junior software engineers and conduct technical code reviews
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies for complex feature sets
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability across the platform
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and framework issues
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define testability requirements
• Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and engineering techniques
• Establish and maintain test data management and infrastructure strategies
• Drive documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering standards
• Manage technical debt and refactor systems for scale and performance
