Business Analyst

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst on technical products or platforms, especially in IT/ITSM or service desk implementation projects.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Experience working as an analyst counterpart to technical or configuration teams.
• Expert power-user level knowledge of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Understanding of Atlassian's configuration model and implications.
• Analyst-level understanding of API and integration concepts including REST, webhooks.
• Experience in international, multi-country environments.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to produce clear documentation.
• Proactive and technically curious approach to learning tools.

Atlassian Platform Depth:

• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence at expert power-user level.
• Fluent understanding of Jira projects, issue types, custom fields, screens, workflows, permission and notification schemes, reporting and dashboards.
• Fluent in Jira Service Management request types and forms, portals, queues, SLAs, approvals, automation rules, and agent/customer permissions.
• Knowledge of Confluence spaces and permissions, page structuring, templates, and linking documentation to Jira/JSM projects.
• Ability to anticipate consequences of configuration changes, including shared vs. dedicated schemes, global vs. project-level settings, license and permission implications.
• Able to hold substantive technical discussions with Atlassian administrators without performing configuration themselves.

Integrations & Connected Systems:

• Understanding of Atlassian within a wider system landscape including SSO, Active Directory, user provisioning, asset and CMDB data, and downstream reporting.
• Comfortable with APIs and integration concepts at analyst level such as REST, webhooks, data and field mapping between systems.
• Able to analyze cross-system automation and judge where to solve issues inside Atlassian versus connected systems.

Translating Requirements into Functionality:

• Works independently to convert vague business needs into solution proposals expressed in platform terms.
• Produces user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional designs suitable for direct construction.
• Confident to push back or propose alternatives when requirements would negatively impact the platform or user experience.

International / Cross-Functional Experience:

• Experience working in international, multi-country organizations.
• Skilled at facilitating workshops and interviews with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate technical detail and business framing effectively.

• Strong analytical and requirements-elicitation skills including process mapping and workflow design.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Structured, detail-oriented documentation skills.
• Technically curious and hands-on exploration of tools in test environments.
