Senior QA Automation Engineer

STX Next is a global IT consulting company specializing in customer-focused software services with a team of 500 professionals dedicated to building outstanding products through innovation.

Must have:

• Deep knowledge of testing best practices, software quality, testing processes, types of tests, product lifecycle, and bug reporting
• Commercial experience in Playwright or Cypress
• Ability to design and develop automated test scripts (UI and API) using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or others
• Experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, or other BDD testing tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python or JavaScript)
• Knowledge of GIT version control system
• Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Xray or similar)
• Practical knowledge of technologies used in web applications, e.g., (HTML, HTTP, REST API)
• Knowledge of SQL
• Ability to collaborate with frontend and product teams to maintain automation scripts and develop BDD user stories with acceptance criteria
• Analytical thinking
• Very good English (minimum B2)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of mocking objects for testing
• Knowledge of Page Object Patterns
• Commercial experience in performance tests (JMeter, Locust)
• Commercial experience in API tests (Postman, Tavern, or similar)
• Own GitHub repository with code samples
• Familiarity with Docker

• Verifying the correct operation of software by conducting functionality tests
• Designing new test scenarios in line with expected system functionalities and business needs
• Executing test scenarios according to the established test schedule
• Analyzing the results and metrics of conducted tests
• Reporting new bugs, tracking their processing, retesting after corrections, and closing bugs after completion
• Actively participating in scheduled meetings, especially team meetings within the project
• Communicating with stakeholders during preparation and execution of test scenarios to deliver high-quality products
