Data Engineer (Databricks)

• Strong proficiency in PySpark for data processing and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including cluster management, notebook development, and job scheduling.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using PySpark and Databricks.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Understanding of data integration patterns, data lake architectures, and data quality best practices.
• Experience with Databricks Workflow management and pipeline orchestration is a plus.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is considered a plus.

• Design and develop high-quality code within Databricks using PySpark notebooks and SQL.
• Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot and BMAD to accelerate development.
• Assemble and prepare large complex datasets meeting business requirements.
• Collaborate with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to align with architectural blueprints.
• Contribute to coding standards and ensure scalable, reusable services and components.
• Work with front-end teams embracing a "data as a product" mindset.
• Apply sound development practices and adhere to architectural designs.
• Identify and define infrastructure revamps to reduce technical debt.
• Deliver data engineering projects within an agile Scrum team.
• Provide L3 support, analyze bugs, and maintain system stability.
• Design and implement continuous process improvements for backend operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and share knowledge within the team.
