Functional Consultant Dynamics 365 F&O

The hiring organisation is a well-established company within the retail industry, known for its robust operations and commitment to integrating advanced technology to improve business processes. The role is associated with the Technology & Telecoms industry, focusing on ERP systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a similar field
• 3-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Solid understanding of finance and/or supply chain processes
• Experience gathering requirements and documenting business processes
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
• Knowledge of integrations (APIs, Azure services, middleware)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
• D365 F&O certifications (Finance or Supply Chain modules)

Business Analysis & Process Design:

• Gather and analyze business requirements across Finance and/or Supply Chain
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders
• Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process optimization

Functional & Technical Solution Design (D365 F&O):

• Map business processes to standard D365 F&O functionality
• Collaborate with Solution Architect on solution design decisions
• Work with developers (X++, integrations) to ensure proper implementation
• Define system configuration, workflows, and business rules

Finance Domain (if applicable):

• Support General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Handle Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management
• Manage financial reporting, closing processes, and compliance

Supply Chain Domain (if applicable):

• Manage procurement and sourcing
• Oversee inventory and warehouse management
• Support production/manufacturing processes
• Handle order management and logistics

Testing & Implementation:

• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Validate system functionality against business requirements
• Support data migration and data validation
• Assist in go-live preparation and hypercare support

Data, Reporting & Integration:

• Define reporting requirements (Power BI, embedded reports)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance
• Support integration with external systems (CRM, WMS, banking systems)

Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration:

• Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams
• Support Product Owner / Project Manager in backlog and priorities
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, demos)
• Drive user adoption and training activities
