Backend Developer (Python, Databricks)

• Strong commercial experience in Python backend development at a senior level.
• Hands-on experience with developing software across distributed services in Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and serverless capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and services.
• Proven experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI and/or Django.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Practical experience working with Docker in production environments.
• Practical experience with SQLAlchemy, including ORM, database sessions, queries, and data modeling.
• Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing, background jobs, and scheduled tasks.

Nice to have:

• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Experience with cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Version control proficiency with Git and experience with collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud and backend environments.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively in English.
• Kubernetes experience is a plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop software across distributed services running on Microsoft Azure.
• Work with Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and serverless capabilities on Azure.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
• Work with Docker in production environments.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and participate in code reviews, planning, and architecture discussions.
• Use SQLAlchemy for database access, ORM, and data modeling.
• Develop and maintain asynchronous and scheduled background tasks using Celery.
