Senior Platform Engineer (Agentic Engineering)

OBI Smart Technologies is a joint venture between OBI and Reply Group, responsible for co-designing, building and operating mission-critical digital platforms for commerce, customer service, and omnichannel retail. They focus on implementing standardized processes and scalable digital products to support one of Europe’s largest DIY retailers, advancing internationalization and digital mindset among partners.

• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Strong software engineering background with practical proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of modern API design principles and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in workflow orchestration and automation platforms using BPMN or comparable technologies.
• Practical cloud engineering experience including containerization and deployment in public cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tooling supporting automated delivery and scalable environments.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Polish.
• Availability to work in a hybrid mode from the office in Katowice.

Main responsibilities:

• Contribute to architecture and structured integration of agentic capabilities into products and workflows.
• Design and implement scalable workflow orchestration solutions using BPMN-based platforms and automation tooling.
• Enable cloud-native platform adoption with container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, identity management, and cloud infrastructure for secure services.
• Establish governance and operational standards including observability, cost awareness, access management, and secure deployment.
• Act as a platform ambassador by coaching teams on automation best practices, infrastructure as code, platform-native design, and production-ready engineering.
• Build local knowledge sharing through workshops, technical sessions, and collaboration with global platform teams.
• Design and evolve Workflow Automation and Agentic Engineering capabilities with AI-driven enhancements delivering measurable value.
