Senior Product Engineer (QA Automation)

DCV Technologies is hiring for a senior QA automation role based in Kraków with a hybrid work mode (2 days office per week).

• 4–6 years experience in software quality engineering and test automation.
• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer / Quality Engineer.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Playwright for UI and API automation.
• Programming and automation framework development skills in Java.
• Solid understanding of test design principles, test strategies, and automation best practices.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks.
• Good knowledge of API testing and end-to-end application testing.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows.
• Practical experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with the CakePHP framework.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and defect investigation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and product teams.
• Familiar with software development and testing lifecycles.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API applications using Playwright.
• Build and enhance scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using Java.
• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Develop automated tests for new features, integrations, and regression coverage.
• Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, reliability, and execution time.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to quality metrics, observability, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Support testing of complex and distributed applications ensuring appropriate system coverage.
