Software Engineer 1 (Java / Kotlin) - Developer Tools

Allegro’s development team consists of more than 1700 IT experts working on large scale and complex systems. The role is within a specific team focused on Developer Experience (DevEx), maintaining core tools and components for Allegro's software delivery lifecycle. This includes managing a massive selfhosted runners cluster, administrating Github enterprise, and building tools for software build and release processes.

• Proficient coding skills in Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience with Linux system management
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Knowledge of GitHub and building CI/CD pipelines
• Willingness to develop skills in containerization and orchestration
• Ability to work effectively solving business and technical challenges
• English language proficiency at B2+ level

• Code in Java and/or Kotlin
• Manage systems operating at massive scale within Linux environments
• Automate everything following Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Ansible
• Build efficient and developer-friendly environments for CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
• Expand skills into containerization and orchestration to build portable and resilient systems
• Work with internal users to ensure seamless CI/CD processes from code to deployment
• Maintain and develop Java/Kotlin microservices backed by MongoDB
• Administer selfhosted runners cluster and manage Github enterprise
• Collaborate to create tools defining software build and release processes
