Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Trading Platform)

TradeZella is a trading journaling and educational platform that syncs trade data from over 500 brokers and prop-firm platforms. It runs backtesting against more than a decade of historical market data and uses AI to automatically tag and analyze trading patterns for over 50,000 active traders.

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Comfortable with backend systems including low-latency systems
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks: React 18+ and TypeScript
• Active trader in futures or crypto, day trading or scalping
• Skilled in spec-driven, AI-orchestrated development
• Experience with real-time market data: WebSocket streaming, order books, Level 2 depth
• Ability to produce product specifications
• Ability to make UX decisions following UX guidance and advisory input
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Ruby or Rust (Rust/Axum framework)
• Experience with high-performance browser rendering technologies (e.g., WebAssembly, ImGui, egui)
• Familiarity with trading tools such as footprint charts, DOM/ladder, heatmaps, market/volume profile, CVD

• Own the full process from specifications to shipping without managing a ticket queue
• Use the product personally as a trader
• Work in an AI-first team, incorporating AI in planning, research, and building
• Combine synchronous collaboration with focused asynchronous work

Requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Comfortable working across backend systems including low-latency backend
