Lead Data Architect - Product Supply

The Data Assets, Analytics & AI team at Bayer Consumer Health focuses on digital transformation and innovation by creating best-in-class analytical solutions to enable data-driven decision making and performance optimization within the Bayer Consumer Health organization.

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.
• Over 8 years' experience in data-related area, including 5+ years in Data & Analytics, preferably in Product Supply & CPG industry.
• Excellent data architecture, data engineering, and data management skills, including data quality.
• Technology expertise in Azure Databricks, ADF, Azure Container Services, AzureML, Azure Foundry, SQL, databases (SQL/NoSQL), PySpark (DataFrame API, Spark SQL, MLlib), libraries such as pandas, SQLAlchemy; experience in parallel processing, data transformation, and performance optimization.
• Experience with BI/reporting solutions like PowerBi and Tableau.
• Knowledge of application development frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI, and JavaScript UI frameworks (React.js, Next.js) is a plus.
• Profound business and data knowledge of product supply domain including product data, formulations, quality data, orders, procurement data, and finance data such as COGS.
• Experience steering implementation teams of internal and external engineers at technical and organizational levels.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with sound business judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, consulting, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Intercultural awareness (Europe, US, India) and willingness to travel occasionally.

• Lead technical implementation of analytic projects in the area of Product Supply, ensuring best practices and design principles are followed.
• Design, lead, and manage integration of multiple data sources and the design of reusable data models and marts.
• Contribute to data management creation and steer implementation of proper processes leveraging best practices.
• Initiate and prepare Architecture Change Advisory Boards, collaborating with data architects and business functions to ensure sustainable pipelines.
• Collaborate with global and regional business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure delivery aligns with business priorities.
• Steer external providers and internal teams, provide estimations, challenge vendor costs, and assure quality delivery and handover.
• Contribute to enrichment of cloud-based data and analytics technology stacks relevant to your responsibility area.
