Data Engineer / Tech Lead

This role is for a Data Engineer Tech Lead in the media and telecommunications industry. The position is 100% remote under a B2B contract with occasional business travel for onboarding or workshops. The candidate will work on designing, building, and maintaining a central data storage and processing layer while leading technical initiatives.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, and Lambda.
• Solid understanding of databases and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with software engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to lead architectural design and initiatives.
• Experience mentoring engineers in a hands-on manner.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of data orchestration tools and frameworks.
• Experience working with Content Management Systems.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
• Exposure to cost management strategies in cloud environments.

• Designing and developing data pipelines for reliable and efficient data flows.
