IT Cost and Contracts Manager

HSBC Service Delivery manages significant IT third-party spend, approximately $3bn, focusing on cost management processes improvement and IT contract lifecycle management.

• 3+ years proven experience in vendor, cost, commercial management, or procurement category roles.
• Proven track record in identifying cost reduction or optimization opportunities.
• Good understanding of procurement sourcing and category management principles.
• Sound understanding of financial principles.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure technical platforms and vendor management policies.
• Strong communication skills to influence all organizational levels.
• Analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing IT contracts and commercial awareness solutions.

• Oversee review and challenge of third-party cost submissions, collaborating with Business Managers, Procurement, Architecture, Engineering, and COOs.
• Support IT contract lifecycle including renewals evaluation, demand challenge, and commercial deal negotiation.
• Create and maintain governance models for IT expenditure and proactively drive cost reduction.
• Build effective stakeholder relationships to influence decisions and enhance commercial awareness.
• Promote risk-aware culture and manage operational risk with adherence to ethical standards.
• Develop business cases articulating financial, strategic, and non-financial benefits.
• Support change management through communication and implementation with peers and senior management.
• Support global joint commercial projects.
