Senior Gen Ai Engineer at Impact AI Lab (F/M)

IDEAS RESEARCH INSTITUTE is a research and development center operating in the field of artificial intelligence and digital economy. Its mission is to support the development of these technologies in Poland by creating a platform connecting the academic and business communities.

Established by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense, it aims to build the largest space in Poland conducive to innovative research and to educate scientists focused on practical algorithm application and commercialization across sectors such as industry, finance, and medicine. The institute collaborates with scientists of global standing.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a highly related field
• Proven commercial experience as an AI/ML Engineer with a strong focus on Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration or serving tools for at least 3 years
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Deep, fundamental understanding of model architectures and their functioning
• Practical knowledge of industrial technologies for building agentic workflows and systems
• Experience in the full MLOps lifecycle for Generative AI models, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization

Nice to have:

• Experience with Very Large Language Models (VLLMs), classic Deep Learning, and standard Machine Learning frameworks
• Published research papers in the field of Generative AI
• Proven record of building backend or frontend components for agentic solutions

• Designing, developing, and implementing state-of-the-art Generative AI and agentic systems
• Rapid prototyping of AI solutions tailored for the public administration sector with strict regulatory and market constraints
• Deploying and running local models on constrained computational resources
• Actively optimizing systems across multiple axes
• Managing the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle for deployed Generative AI systems
• Applying a scientific mindset to solve complex engineering problems using the latest technological advancements
