Expert FullStack Developer (Java, React)

j-labs develops systems supporting decision optimization in maritime transport. They focus on five main products that support route planning, fleet management, bookings, peer-to-peer connections, and transport optimization. The team works on new service development and rebuilding existing systems towards microservices architecture using modern technology stack including Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL. Projects follow Agile methodology with emphasis on CI/CD, code quality, and automated testing. The team operates in a hybrid model within an international environment.

• Minimum 7 years experience programming in Java/Kotlin (Kotlin is nice to have) and TypeScript (React).
• Practical knowledge of microservices, asynchronous communication, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD/DDD principles and tools: JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Selenium, Protractor.
• Experience designing frontend and backend applications.
• Technical education in IT or software engineering.
• English language proficiency at B2 level spoken and written.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kotlin.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (design, architecture, implementation, DevOps).
• Backend and frontend programming at approximately 50% each.
• Develop and maintain systems supporting global maritime transport.

• Participate in on-call rotational support with additional pay.
