Software Engineer 5 - Studio Production Engineering

Netflix is hiring for two teams within the Studio Engineering department: The Production Operations Products team, which develops core technologies for planning, managing, and tracking global productions including internal tools like Slate Manager and external ones like Production Center; and The Media Workflows team, responsible for technologies managing the lifecycle of production media from set footage to archival workflows, supporting internal teams and external partners with distributed workflows and large-scale media asset management.

• 5 or more years of experience with resilient, high-scale, low-latency distributed microservices in production.
• Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.
• Recent experience with Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.
• Proven track record in architecting and operating distributed systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Knowledge of media production, encoding, or footage-related pipelines is a plus.
