Senior Cloud Engineer

Box Inc. is rapidly growing and aims to build a best in class Cloud Engineering function to efficiently scale across a robust Hybrid Cloud infrastructure and AI platform.

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform/SRE-style work
• Experience with Linux, system fundamentals, hypervisor
• Hands-on experience with at least one Public Cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Practical experience using Terraform or equivalent IaC in real environments
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM (service accounts, roles, policies, groups, federation basics)
• Development skills in Python, Terraform, Bash scripting, Micro-service architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD and safe production change practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English

• Designing automation for cloud account and project creation
• Developing internal services that integrate with cloud providers
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Managing IAM permissions and service account access
• Building self-service workflows for engineering teams
• Supporting AI platform growth and adoption
• Investigating production issues and cloud incidents
• Improving observability, monitoring, and auditability
• Creating runbooks and operational documentation
• Partnering with service owners during onboarding and platform adoption

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, focusing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
