Senior Java Software Engineer

The Infrastructure System Test Tools team (ISTT) within Motorola Solutions is responsible for development of simulators of public safety communication system components. These simulators are used by product teams to execute functional and performance system level tests and tests automation.

• Strong knowledge of Java as a core technology
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Angular
• Knowledge of designing realtime multithreaded and distributed systems
• Knowledge of IP networks including devices and protocols
• Written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Experience working with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (configuration, deployment)
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS
• Experience with Jenkins
• Proficiency with GIT
• Experience working with SCRUM practices

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software within the ISTT portfolio
• Cooperate with external teams to integrate solutions with test environments
• Provide support to external teams using our solutions
• Potential expansion of role to include requirements analysis and scope definition
