Senior Integration Architect - Manufacturing

The Data, Analytics, and AI Organization of the Digital Transformation Unit at Bayer Consumer Health operates a global transactional data integration backbone connecting internal and external applications and systems, providing a uniform experience for customers, consumers, and employees.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field; significant experience may substitute.
• Experience building IT systems in a GxP environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects using Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and building/deploying integration solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Proficiency in IT architecture and design, especially system integration, distributed systems, and API design.
• Experience with Node.js and AWS services including SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, Networking Service, Document DB.
• Familiarity with Terraform (IaaS).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Repos, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Linux command line tools and shell scripting.

• Lead the planning and design of integration processes and interfaces to connect various systems and applications.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers in implementing integration solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Squad Leads and stakeholders to understand integration requirements and align strategies.
• Ensure integration solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable, following IT architecture best practices.
• Create, maintain, and review documentation for integration processes, standards, and best practices.
• Foster open communication and collaboration among diverse, geographically distributed teams.
