Senior Integration Architect - Product Supply

The Data, Analytics, and AI Organization of the Digital Transformation Unit at Bayer Consumer Health operates a global transactional data integration backbone connecting internal and external applications and systems. This platform provides infrastructure modules, development frameworks, CI/CD automations, and developer tooling to software engineering teams building integrations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field; significant relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience building IT systems in a GxP environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects and Agile Project Management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience building and deploying integration solutions.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural environments.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Proficiency in IT architecture and design including system integration, distributed systems, and API design.
• Experience with Node.js and AWS services (SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, Networking Service, Document DB).
• Familiarity with IaaS tools like Terraform.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Repos, and GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency with Linux command line tools and shell scripting.

Integration Planning and Design:

• Lead the planning and design of integration processes and interfaces to ensure effective connectivity between systems and applications, mainly in the Product Supply area.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support in implementing integration solutions.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with Squad Leads and other stakeholders to understand integration requirements and align strategies with business goals.

Technical Oversight:

• Ensure integration solutions are scalable, reliable, and adhere to IT architecture best practices.

Documentation and Standards:

• Create, maintain, and review comprehensive documentation for integration processes, standards, and best practices.

Intercultural Communication:

• Foster open communication and collaboration among diverse teams across different geographical locations.
