Senior Test Automation Engineer

DCG is a recruitment company engaged in multiple recruitment projects for various partners, emphasizing management style and partnership approach.

• Proven experience of 6+ years in automated software testing within complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of QA methodology including test planning, design, execution, defect management, regression testing, and continuous quality improvement
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+, object-oriented programming, Clean Code principles, and POJO-based design patterns
• Practical experience with RESTAssured, JUnit 5, and Lombok for API test automation
• Solid knowledge of REST architecture, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML payloads, and SOAP/WSDL contracts
• Strong experience in REST and SOAP API testing, integration testing, backend services, and data distribution processes
• Hands-on experience with test reporting tools, particularly Allure
• Good experience in SQL and database testing including data validation and backend process verification
• Practical experience in testing integration solutions, asynchronous flows, Kafka-based integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with qTest and Jira for test management and defect tracking
• Strong Git skills including branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, and conflict resolution
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution using Jenkins and/or Bamboo
• Good understanding of Agile ways of working and Scrum ceremonies
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to an Automation First approach
• Experience in preparing test evidence, automation reporting, and test coverage documentation
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members
• Experience with AI-assisted testing and GitHub Copilot usage in test automation

• Design and implement automated tests for APIs, integration processes, and data flows
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
• Create regression tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines
• Support the implementation of the Automation First approach
• Cooperate with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other teams
• Support automation of new features and existing products
• Analyze test results and prepare test evidence
• Use AI and GitHub Copilot to improve test automation efficiency
• Participate in defining and evolving the automation strategy
• Architect scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks
• Support quality-related activities across the team
• Mentor less experienced team members in test automation practices
