Senior Oracle/Python Developer

• Minimum 10 years of experience programming in PL/SQL or Python, including design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of advanced database solutions
• Very good knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL
• Practical experience creating procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and jobs
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL optimization, execution plan analysis, indexes, partitioning, and statistics
• Ability to diagnose performance issues, including lock analysis, concurrency, batch, and integration processes
• Experience designing and implementing database algorithms processing large data sets
• Familiarity with XML and JSON data processing and transformation using Oracle Database
• Experience developing applications in Python using technologies such as FastAPI, Pydantic, Polars, Pandera, SQLAlchemy, oracledb, Redis, pytest, pytest-bdd, uvicorn, and ruff
• Skill in designing data structures considering integrity, security, scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Practical knowledge of Git, including branch management, merge/pull requests, and code review
• Understanding of secure programming principles to prevent SQL Injection and unauthorized access
• Experience creating and maintaining technical, project, deployment, and post-implementation documentation
• Knowledge of full software life cycle from analysis and design to implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and further development
• Experience creating database algorithms operating in near real-time
• Familiarity with data processing models including online, near real-time, batch, cyclic, or event-driven
• Experience with systems requiring high performance, availability, and reliability
• Sector experience in energy industry, particularly energy market systems, metering, dispatching, planning, balancing, settlements, or data exchange
• Experience integrating systems using REST API, SOAP, XML, JSON, CSV, message queues, ETL/ELT, and database interfaces
• Experience working with solutions demanding high auditability, security, accountability, and data access control

• Support the solution architect in designing IT system architectures based on databases
• Design and create database structures
• Implement advanced functionalities in database systems
• Collaborate with business and solution architects in application design
• Provide technological oversight for applications using database processing
• Define technological directions and standards in the database domain
• Analyze and resolve key database issues, especially related to performance and query optimization
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and high quality
• Design and optimize algorithms processing large data volumes
• Create and update technical, project, and post-implementation documentation
• Develop automated tests and supervise their preparation and execution
• Participate in maintenance and servicing of developed solutions
• Support the team in developing knowledge and skills related to database design and programming
• Co-create standards for designing, producing, and documenting database solutions
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality
