iOS Engineer

Jeppesen ForeFlight develops digital solutions for flight planning, navigation and aviation operations. The iOS Engineer will contribute to the continued development of their iOS application used by pilots to plan flights and navigate in demanding operational environments.

• Professional experience developing iOS applications.
• Proficient in Swift and familiar with modern iOS development practices.
• Experience working with asynchronous code, concurrency, memory management, and application performance.
• Comfortable working in an existing codebase, able to understand unfamiliar parts and improve software quality.
• Good understanding of common data structures and software engineering principles.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with C++ or other languages used in large software systems.

• Develop and maintain iOS functionality in Swift, from implementation and testing through to release.
• Work across different parts of the application, including user-facing features, application logic and existing technical components.
• Investigate and solve technical challenges related to application performance, concurrency, memory usage and data handling.
• Write maintainable, well-structured code and contribute actively to code reviews.
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions with more experienced engineers.
• Take ownership of features and tasks while seeking input from colleagues when needed.
