Proxy Product Owner IT (k/m)

PZU Tech S.A. is recruiting for a Proxy Product Owner role within a large transformation program in the insurance industry. The role involves collaboration with business teams, IT, architecture, and suppliers to support product decisions and end-to-end implementation.

• Create and maintain the product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and influence product development direction.
• Good knowledge of the Product Owner role and software development processes.
• Advanced backlog management and prioritization based on business value.
• Ensure transparency and understanding of the backlog by the team and stakeholders.
• Very good knowledge and practical experience with Scrum.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Miro tools.
• Experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience designing, monitoring, and analyzing product, business, and operational metrics (e.g., TTM, ROI, revenue, KPI, OKR, NPS).
• Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., PSPO II or equivalent).
• Strong decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make product decisions under uncertainty and manage trade-offs between scope, time, cost, and quality.
• Very good knowledge of technology, including systems, APIs, integrations, and technological constraints, with ability to assess technological impact on product.
• Conduct discovery activities including research, workshops, and user needs analysis.
• Experience managing organizational resistance and change.
• Experience implementing at least 3 commercial products, including at least one in insurance.
• Readiness to provide services in Poland.
• Readiness to work in Warsaw under a hybrid model (3 office days, 2 remote).
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

• Represent business needs in the product development process.
• Manage the product backlog and prioritize based on business value.
• Support defining the product development direction and vision.
• Coordinate collaboration among stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery of business value within the transformation program.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and manage their expectations.
• Monitor progress and achievement of product goals.
• Create complete User Stories and divide requirements into releasable elements.
• Facilitate practical collaboration with scrum teams using Scrum framework.
• Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• Conduct discovery activities including research, workshops, and user needs analysis.
• Manage organizational resistance and change management.
• Lead the implementation of at least three commercial products, including one in the insurance sector.

Nice to have:

• Experience with leading market systems for claims and benefits like EIS or Guidewire.
• Collaboration with UX and understanding design processes.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and log analysis.
• Facilitation skills for workshops such as story mapping and event storming.
• Knowledge of GA4 or similar tools.
• Inspiring team usage of A/B tests, experiments, and conversion optimization.
• Advanced Agile/Scaling certifications (e.g., PSM II, SAFe, LeSS).
• Use of AI in working with needs, backlog, and product.

Requirement to provide services on the territory of Poland and to work in Warsaw in a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). English language proficiency minimum B2 is required.
