Data Manager | FCU Technology

The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists serving the financial services industry. They provide technological solutions, data analytics, and consulting services addressing challenges in Anti Financial Crime such as Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA, and financial sanctions implementation.

• 10+ years experience in data/business analytics, data engineering or data modeling project delivery, preferably in Financial Services
• 5+ years experience managing and scaling teams of 6+ persons
• Minimum 2 years experience in developing data-driven strategies to drive business growth
• Advanced negotiation skills managing project timelines and deliverables
• Proven ability to balance personal projects with leading a multi-project team and contributing to business development
• Ability to identify and address client needs and maintain client relationships
• Understanding of statistical analytics methods and their application
• Experience in data querying technologies (e.g., SQL)
• Experience in programming languages for process automation (e.g., Python, VBA)
• Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Analytical and results-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in agile methodologies
• University degree preferred in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Big Data
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills
• Experience in data governance, data stewardship, and data management
• Knowledge of new technologies and AI-powered tools for task automation, information analysis, content creation

• Fluency in German, Dutch, or French

• Manage data analytics consulting projects including solution proposals, requirement gathering, and supervising implementation of data and technology solutions
• Collaborate with team members on client projects to develop data-driven solutions
• Design, develop, and implement management information products, analytical solutions, and data extraction processes
• Guide team on quality validation techniques and ensure accurate data ingestion
• Lead development of data tools for transformation, management, and access
• Advise on writing and validating code to enhance data storage resilience and platform availability
• Oversee implementation of performance monitoring protocols in data pipelines
• Mentor team on creating visualizations and aggregations to track pipeline health
• Coach team on solutions to reduce pipeline failure points across product features
• Support identification of data governance requirements and ensure legal and policy compliance
• Manage data accessibility within data pipelines
• Prepare team members for stakeholder meetings and guide on data requirements
• Assist in evaluating data costs, access, usage, use cases, dependencies, and availability
• Keep updated with Technology and Anti Financial Crime trends
• Work on internal initiatives developing new value propositions for clients
