Senior AI/Python Developer - Remote Work Type

Directio is a global IT services company supporting mainly cloud-based and mobile applications, serving FMCG, retail, automotive, and SaaS clients. The role is for a Swedish client developing a platform for collecting employee and customer feedback to enable data-based decision making.

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python in backend services, automation scripts, and AI applications.
• Experience with Generative AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of data retrieval architectures, vector databases, embedding stores, and hybrid search systems.
• Expertise in data indexing, querying, and retrieval from large-scale data lakes optimized for LLMs and AI agents.
• Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed backend architecture.
• Hands-on experience with deployment and management on Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset with willingness to share knowledge.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of NLP technologies including Word2Vec, CBOW, LSTM, ML, RNNs, NLTK, and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Superset, and ELT/ETL tools such as Airflow or Meltano.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL with query optimization and advanced data modeling.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered services using Python.
• Leverage AI tools including Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to enhance development.
• Architect and optimize hybrid retrieval systems for LLM-based agents and enterprise data lakes.
• Collaborate with product development teams using React and Node.js.
• Lead AI initiatives from prototyping to deployment with continuous improvement.
• Utilize Azure cloud infrastructure for deployment, monitoring, and management.
• Continuously evaluate new LLM/AI frameworks and models.
• Develop AI agents using LangGraph, MCP, gRPC, and various proprietary and open-source models.
• Build scalable data services with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ELT platforms.
• Implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Azure services, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows, collaborating with the SRE team.
