Robotic Engineer (Robotics Automation)

Red Sky is conducting this recruitment process for a newly established early-stage startup focused on robotics automation, supported by an experienced startup studio and capital group.

• At least 5+ years of experience in robotics or automation companies in technical leadership roles
• At least 3+ years of hands-on robotics engineering expertise focused on designing, prototyping, sourcing, and adapting hardware including mechatronics, kinematics, sensor integration, embedded systems, and control systems
• Proven experience building scalable physical automation platforms and deep-tech architecture from scratch
• Entrepreneurial mindset valuing pragmatic execution and rapid physical prototyping over perfection in an early-stage startup
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent Polish and English (spoken and written)
• University degree in automation, robotics, or mechatronics
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, and mechanical engineering principles
• Ability to write code in dedicated environments

Nice to have:

• Deep understanding of Physical AI / Embodied AI hardware challenges including edge compute constraints, sensor noise, actuator dynamics, and sim-to-real transfer
• Background in deep-tech, AI, or engineering-driven startups
• Programming industrial PLC controllers, HMI panels, and SCADA visualization systems
• Experience with 3D design and robot simulation software (CAD)

• Aligning technical strategy with business goals
• Architecting and building robotics automation solutions integrating Physical AI intelligence with physical hardware
• Leveraging Physical AI models to optimize operational efficiency in hardware-driven environments
• Defining the tech stack, software/hardware architecture, and product scalability roadmap
• Monitoring robotics, AI, and automation trends to maintain competitive technological advantage
• Translating customer feedback and market needs into technical requirements
• Creating a culture focused on code quality, ownership, rapid iteration, and high execution standards
• Establishing hardware-software co-development workflows, CI/CD pipelines for robotics including firmware, ROS/ROS2, and physical AI model deployment
• Developing simulation-to-real testing frameworks and ensuring safety and data compliance standards
