Data Engineer (Scala) - Data Assets

As part of the Data & AI area, the team implements projects based on practical applications of "data science" and "artificial intelligence" at an unprecedented scale in Poland. The group includes over 150 experienced engineers in more than a dozen teams with various specializations, building tools for BigData processing, ML model implementation, search engine and recommendation systems development, experimental platforms, and conducting research using machine learning.

• Programming experience in Scala or Java and optionally Python
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data storage/processing frameworks such as dbt, Spark, or Apache Beam
• Knowledge of public cloud environments, especially GCP services like Dataproc, Dataflow, and Composer, or other clouds like Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with best development practices: clean code, code review, test-driven development (TDD), and CI/CD
• Proficient in navigating Unix/Linux systems
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
• Commitment to personal development and staying current with technology
• English language proficiency at B2 level

• Build and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant data processing systems handling billions of events daily
• Work within a hybrid cloud environment using Google Cloud Platform services like DataProc, GKE, Beam, BigQuery, Pubsub, and Dataflow
• Collaborate with teams responsible for data science, artificial intelligence, search engine, recommendation systems, and machine learning projects
• Follow good development practices, including clean code, code review, TDD, and CI/CD
• Navigate and operate within Unix/Linux systems
