Senior/Staff Product Designer

Must-haves:

• Proficiency across product design, UX, UI, and qualitative research delivering polished, detail-oriented work.
• Collaboration with engineers and understanding of software building including common web technologies.
• Experience shipping end-to-end features in smaller teams or startups driving complex problems to measurable outcomes.
• Ability to operate quickly in MVP-driven environments balancing quality and velocity amid ambiguity.
• Use of research and metrics to inform decisions and deliver solutions supporting team KPIs.
• Openness to critique and providing actionable feedback raising team standards.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity for AI, exploring new tools and approaches.
• 5+ years of product design experience with demonstrable impact on shipped products.

• Front-end fluency for prototyping or collaboration using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience designing AI or automation products; familiarity with n8n is a plus.

• Knowledge of discovery frameworks like Continuous Discovery or Shape Up.
• Comfort with metrics, A/B testing, or SQL for data-informed design.

End-to-end product design

• Lead full design process from discovery to delivery in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Ship high-quality, visually cohesive designs improving UX at every release.
• Work on complex features with a strong engineering mindset and technology understanding.
• Take ownership of complex multifaceted problems with initiative and autonomy.

Research, feedback, and UX quality

• Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and research to inform product and business decisions.
• Gather, synthesize, and act on feedback while providing actionable critique to teammates.
• Balance speed and quality in an MVP-driven environment navigating ambiguity.

Systems thinking and platform coherence

• Design integrated solutions within the broader n8n platform maintaining product coherence.
• Account for edge cases, constraints, and interaction details to avoid impossible user states.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure consistency and quality of shared components.

Strategy, impact, and innovation

• Influence team strategy, planning, prioritization, and scope with design perspective tied to KPIs.
• Explore and adopt AI and automation tools to advance design practices and AI-powered workflows.
