Applied AI Engineer - AI Finance Agent

BJAK built the first mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, launched in 2019, enabling millions to access insurance online. The company is expanding its financial services to include spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travelling, aiming to help people get more from their money every day. BJAK has global teams with over 20 nationalities, working both remotely and from offices.

• Strong software engineering foundation, preferably with Python and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, agents, RAG, workflow automation, or AI tools.
• Ability to connect AI systems with real product, data, and operational workflows.
• Good judgement on where AI helps versus where rule-based systems or human review are better.
• Understanding of evaluation, accuracy, latency, cost, privacy, and failure modes.
• Ability to prototype, test, and ship practical systems quickly.
• Experience in fintech, insurance, support automation, CRM, or operations automation is a strong advantage.

• Build AI-powered workflows, assistants, agents, and automation systems.
• Apply AI across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, operations, and internal tools.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn manual processes into scalable AI-native systems.
• Build integrations with LLMs, internal data, APIs, documents, knowledge bases, and business systems.
• Design evaluation, monitoring, and fallback flows to ensure AI outputs are useful, safe, and reliable.
• Prototype quickly, test with users or operators, and productionize effective solutions.
• Improve speed, quality, and consistency across workflows using AI where it delivers real business value.

This role is remote but requires candidates to be based in Poland. Strong English communication is required as English is the main working language across global teams.
