Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Technology and AI

The CIO Enterprise Technology & AI team designs and operates enterprise applications, data platforms, corporate IT services, and AI-enabled workflows supporting GitLab's global team. The team collaborates closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, People, Product, and Security to translate business strategy into scalable, reliable technology solutions.

• 6+ years of program management experience delivering large, cross-functional Enterprise Technology & AI programs
• Ability to simplify complex processes and build structured approaches to ambiguous problems
• Experience influencing without authority and driving alignment across senior stakeholders in Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product
• Comfortable operating strategically and in detailed program execution, including executive communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting status, risks, and recommendations to leadership
• Familiarity with Enterprise IT domains such as business systems, data, AI, security, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture (depth in one or more preferred)
• Proficiency with program and project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar); PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus
• Experience working in a remote, globally distributed environment with emphasis on async collaboration and clear documentation

• Own end-to-end program management for large-scale or high-complexity Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives, including scope definition, roadmap development, resource planning, and delivery tracking
• Define and communicate clear success metrics for each program, report status and risk regularly to leadership, and escalate issues with recommended solutions
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand problems, outcomes, and trade-offs
• Facilitate decision-making, resolve dependencies, and maintain momentum across distributed teams
• Recommend and implement improvements to program governance frameworks, intake processes, and ways of working across the CIO organization
• Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable work plans for technical and non-technical audiences
• Anticipate risks and interdependencies, proactively mitigating blockers before delivery impact
• Model GitLab values and remote work best practices to support a high-trust, async-first team culture
