Senior Product Manager, APIs

• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code with ability to build, debug, and ship code/prototypes autonomously.
• Experience as a product manager in a high-growth company.
• Experience in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or similar domains.
• Great judgment in strategic prioritization and tactical feature decisions.
• Demonstrable, self-driven results advancing product direction.
• Strong sense of product design (UX).
• Passion for reliable, well-functioning products even in complex domains.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills across departments.
• Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Bonus: experience working remotely.

• Partner with Engineering Team Lead and Staff Engineers on architecture, design quality, and technical direction.
• Form independent technical opinions and participate in design reviews as a peer.
• Prototype and write code to de-risk ideas and answer open questions.
• Own API products, designing contracts, guiding versioning, and ensuring developer experience.
• Observe workflows with specialists and ops teams to prioritize and solve root cause issues.
• Own adoption and hypercare including product usage post-delivery.
• Collaborate closely with payroll and tax experts and convene across teams.
• Document decisions and reasoning in writing (specs, Looms, proposals) for transparency.
