Workday Integration Consultant

• 3+ years of hands-on, production-level Workday integration design, development, architecture, and support experience.
• Practical experience with Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs), and Core Connectors.
• Proven track record making sound architectural decisions for enterprise integration ecosystems.
• Commitment to high-quality technical documentation and system design specifications.
• Proficiency with XML, XSLT, Web Services, and data transformation concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HRIS, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Official Workday Integration Certification(s) (e.g., Workday Studio, Core Connectors/EIB).
• Experience in multi-country/global Workday integration architecture and support.
• Knowledge of integration touchpoints within Workday, Identity Management systems, enterprise ERPs like SAP/Oracle, global payroll platforms (PECI), and familiarity with Workday Payroll Exports (PICOF).
• Prior experience in post-go-live stabilization, hypercare, and long-term optimization phases.

Integration Architecture & Management:

• Design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs), and Core Connectors.
• Establish long-term integration architecture decisions and design standards.
• Monitor daily integration operations, track process runs, and resolve failures.
• Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Documentation & Governance (Core Focus):

• Create and continuously update technical design specifications, integration mapping documents, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Establish monitoring and support standards for integration operations.
• Support audit, compliance, and security requirements related to employee data.

Post-Go-Live Stabilization & Support:

• Act as a key technical resource during Hypercare and ongoing support phases.
• Perform root-cause analysis on complex integration failures and implement permanent fixes.
• Coordinate technical support with Workday Support, implementation partners, and third-party vendors.

Continuous Improvement & Partnership:

• Collaborate with HR Operations, Payroll, IT, Finance, and business leaders to translate business requirements into technical architectural solutions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline data flows, reduce technical debt, and improve automation.
• Support testing and validation activities for Workday releases and updates.
