Senior Business Analyst / Junior Business Architect

This role involves joining a large-scale transformation programme within the financial services sector, specifically focused on the payments, cards, and banking industry.

• Experience within Cards and/or Payments.
• Hands-on experience designing and/or implementing Target Operating Models (TOM).
• Strong Business Analysis and/or Business Architecture background.
• Experience creating business capability maps and capability assessments.
• Strong understanding of AS-IS → TO-BE transformation.
• Experience with process mapping and customer journey design.
• Experience facilitating workshops with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of organisational design, governance models, and operating model principles.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and operational resilience within financial services.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.

• Analyse the existing operating model across products, markets, and regions.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation, and optimisation.
• Develop detailed business capability maps and identify capability gaps and future requirements.
• Plan and facilitate AS-IS workshops with business stakeholders.
• Map existing processes, customer journeys, dependencies, and pain points.
• Design future-state / TO-BE processes and customer journeys.
• Support the definition and development of the Target Operating Model.
• Translate the target state into realistic, phased transformation roadmaps.
• Define milestones, dependencies, and transition stages.
• Support process architecture and process mapping across multiple products and regions.
• Contribute to organisational design, including roles, responsibilities, and ownership.
• Support the design of future governance structures, decision rights, and escalation paths.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Change teams.
• Ensure that the future operating model reflects regulatory, risk, and operational resilience requirements.
• Identify gaps and dependencies between the current and target operating models.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple markets and business areas.
