Senior Game Programmer

Techland is one of the biggest video game companies in Poland with over 30 years of experience in the gaming industry. The company has international teams in Wrocław and Warsaw with more than 500 professionals focused on game development. Techland is known for franchises like Call of Juarez and Dying Light, emphasizing open-world action, storytelling, and community engagement.

• 6+ years of experience in game development focusing on gameplay mechanics or systems.
• Excellent knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with networked gameplay.
• Strong 3D math skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining large gameplay systems.
• Ability to profile and optimize code focusing on cross-platform performance.
• Experience working closely with designers and animators.
• Strong understanding of game feel and gameplay enjoyment.
• Passion for games and knowledge of latest titles and trends, especially in FPP games.
• Excellent organization, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Very good command of English.
• Familiarity with version control systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience using GAS.
• At least one AAA title shipped with Unreal Engine from start to finish.
• Computer science education.
• Proven history of mentoring programmers.

• Design and implement gameplay mechanics in collaboration with animators and game designers.
• Own and drive moment-to-moment gameplay mechanics.
• Create and prototype new gameplay systems and related tools.
• Debug and optimize gameplay mechanics for performance, responsiveness, and stability.
• Mentor and support other programmers by sharing best practices and reviewing code.
