Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Xopero Software has over 17 years of experience helping companies protect their data through Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions such as Xopero ONE, Xopero Unified Protection, and GitProtect. Their products serve various clients, including global brands like T-Mobile, Avis, and Quest Diagnostics. The role is within the Infrastructure team focused on automating and improving the reliability of infrastructure environments.

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience as Senior System Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar.
• Practical experience with on-premise and bare-metal environments.
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Kubernetes and Docker, including networking, CNI, and Ingress.
• Proficient administration of Unix/Linux systems, network diagnostics, and experience with reverse proxies (nginx, HAProxy).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation with Ansible, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding of SLA, SLI, SLO, monitoring, and incident management.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and managing Object Storage (e.g., S3-compatible).
• Fluent in Polish and English (minimum B2) for technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing or maintaining Disaster Recovery architecture.
• Background in Cyber Security.
• Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, RHCSA, or LFCS.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience in large Object Storage / S3-compatible systems.
• Experience in product or SaaS environments with high reliability and availability demands.

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters in on-premise and bare-metal environments.
• Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure architecture preparing for hybrid and cloud environments.
• Design and automate infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and Python scripts.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, measure, and optimize SLA, SLI, and SLO for SaaS services.
• Diagnose complex infrastructure and network issues including Linux, TCP/IP stack, DNS, reverse proxies like nginx and HAProxy, Kubernetes, and storage layers.
• Develop proactive observability stacks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, creating metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and technical post-mortems.
• Maintain existing Docker Swarm environments and platform infrastructure.
• Work on network and storage infrastructure, optimizing performance and traffic to external S3-compatible Object Storage providers.
• Share knowledge and help implement new automation, reliability, and modern DevOps/SRE standards.
