Principal DevOps Engineer

• Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering.
• At least 3 years at Staff / Principal level.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and experience designing large production environments.
• Practical experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
• Strong expertise in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building infrastructure and platforms from scratch.
• Experience with AWS multi-account architectures.
• Very good knowledge of VPC, networking, and IAM in large environments.
• Experience with EC2, RDS / Aurora, Route 53, and other AWS services.
• Practical knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD.
• Experience designing High Availability, autoscaling, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with observability tools and practices.
• Experience with large, highly loaded production systems.
• Knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, or Bash.
• Very good command of the English language.
• Hands-on mentality with the ability to design and implement solutions independently, including Infrastructure as Code.

• Design and build the entire AWS infrastructure from the ground up.
• Prepare AWS Foundation, AWS Organizations, and multi-account architecture.
• Design and implement EKS / Kubernetes.
• Design networking components, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and IAM.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build and enhance GitOps and CI/CD processes.
• Design solutions ensuring high availability, autoscaling, and fault tolerance.
• Develop Backup and Disaster Recovery strategies, including multi-AZ and multi-region where justified.
• Build observability platform using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and CloudWatch.
• Define DevOps and Platform Engineering standards for future teams.
• Set SLOs and error budgets, ensuring production readiness.
• Participate in incident response, create runbooks, and conduct blameless postmortems.
• Collaborate on load and chaos testing.
• In later project phases: develop and scale platform, optimize infrastructure, and support migration from current solution.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Backend, Security, and AI Platform teams.
