Manager, Engineering - Consumer Products, Publishing & Fan Engagement Technology Engineering

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across various genres and languages. The Publishing and Fan Engagement Technology Engineering (PuFTech) team builds the technology behind Netflix's fandom experiences outside the streaming service, including Netflix House, Tudum, the Media Center, and Consumer Products. This team is focused on evolving AI-powered technology for global consumer products based on Netflix stories and intellectual property.

• Proven experience managing full-stack engineering teams with solid engineering background.
• Experience building a team from inception including hiring, onboarding, and setting technical direction.
• Product and strategy mindset to translate broad guidance into executable decisions.
• Real interest in AI and applying it to build tools like AI-assisted review and planning tools.
• Comfortable negotiating scope with cross-functional partners and shaping joint roadmaps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Build strong relationships with product managers, designers, engineers, and other managers across the US and Poland to align on vision, strategy, and adoption.
• Foster a strong accountability culture to deliver the roadmap reliably and on time.
• Act as a credible technical advisor to the team to aid informed decision-making in ambiguous situations.
• Coordinate and prioritize work beyond the immediate domain when appropriate.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and influence decisions across diverse stakeholders.
• Balance business needs with engineering principles, investing in foundational work and tech debt while delivering incremental improvements.
• Hire, coach, and lead backend and UI engineers to deliver on stability, performance, and product experience.
• Build and nurture an inclusive team culture where members feel empowered and respected.
