Business Risk Manager (Payments)

• 7+ years of experience in business risk management, operational risk, enterprise risk, or related roles within financial services, fintech, or banking
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proactive mindset with experience identifying risks early and implementing controls
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced global environment
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Expertise in designing, implementing, or improving risk frameworks, controls, and governance processes

Nice to have:

• Experience in payments, banking operations, or financial infrastructure
• Knowledge of payment schemes such as SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments, ACH
• Experience in high-growth fintech or technology-driven environments
• Familiarity with payment processing, clearing, or settlement operations

• Partnering with Core Payments leadership to identify, assess, and manage business and operational risks
• Embedding risk awareness into daily decision-making and operations
• Performing risk assessments for new products, payment flows, operational processes, and strategic initiatives
• Designing and improving risk controls, governance frameworks, and monitoring processes
• Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions
• Challenging processes, identifying control gaps, and recommending improvements
• Collaborating with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance to manage risks
• Developing risk metrics and dashboards to provide leadership with visibility into risk areas
• Supporting strategic projects involving payment schemes, banking partners, central banks, and clearing systems
