Embedded Automated Test & Test System Engineer

Verkada Poland builds embedded software teams working closely with hardware vendors, ME/EE engineers, server and UI engineers, industrial designers, and operations teams to ship safety-critical products such as Access Control, Cameras, Intercoms, and Alarms.

• 5+ years of experience in testing hardware devices, embedded systems, or software testing
• Experience building CI systems for embedded platforms
• Experience creating test strategies
• Experience designing and developing automated test cases for hardware devices including HIL
• Proficient in Python
• Experienced Linux user
• Knowledge of GitHub

Nice to have:

• Basic understanding of electronics and lab equipment use (multimeter, oscilloscope)
• Wireless communication protocols: NFC, Bluetooth, UWB
• BDD methodology with Gherkin syntax
• Programming in C, C++, Go
• Bash scripting
• Experience with Yocto, TeamCity, GitHub Actions

• Define and create automated test system architecture for embedded systems like Access Control, Cameras, Intercoms, Alarms
• Participate in selecting technologies for the automated test system
• Collaborate with the team to build CI system, choose technology, set up infrastructure, and develop necessary scripts
• Define and develop automated test cases and create test strategy with the team
• Lead automated test case development in a cross-functional engineering team
• Create test suites for smoke tests, performance tests, and functional testing
• Set up test management solutions and automate test results reporting with the team
