Java Developer with Kafka

They provide comprehensive talent management solutions serving clients in both private and public sectors. This role is for a client in the insurance industry.

• Good knowledge of Java (>5 years)
• Good knowledge of Kafka (>3 years)
• Good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud (>5 years)
• Good knowledge of SQL (>5 years)
• Familiarity with quality assurance including unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Spock) and integration testing tools (Testcontainers, Wiremock)
• Knowledge of Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Programming paradigms
• Knowledge of containerization of applications
• Familiarity with process engines and BPMN notation
• Understanding of resilience patterns and mechanisms in distributed systems
• Knowledge of Angular and experience in frontend application development
• Ability to adopt AI tools in software development processes
• Familiarity with performance diagnostics tools of implemented solutions

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and practical experience
• Experience with AI agents and Agentic AI tools in software development
• Experience with cloud solutions

• Build and expand systems in distributed microservices and monolithic architectures for claims reporting and handling
• Participate in architecture design using modern solutions
• Improve selected business process handling
• Ensure software quality by developing automated test pyramids
• Perform and receive code reviews
• Participate in agile scrum team events
• Collaborate daily in a cohesive team sharing knowledge and focused on producing high-quality code
