Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance)

Mindrift is developing the Tendem project, focused on specialized data scraping workflows for real-world applications. They connect specialists with innovative AI technology projects globally.

• At least 5+ years of experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields is a plus.
• Strong experience in Python web scraping with libraries like BeautifulSoup and Selenium, including handling dynamic content and APIs via proxies.
• Proven ability to extract data from complex and inconsistent HTML structures.
• Solid skills in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).
• Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• Hands-on with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and OpenRouter for automation tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and self-directed troubleshooting skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.

• Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites ensuring accuracy and reliable delivery.
• Leverage tools and custom workflows to accelerate data collection and validation.
• Adapt scraping approaches for dynamic and interactive web sources, including JavaScript-rendered content.
• Enforce data quality standards through validation, consistency checks, and formatting adherence.
• Scale scraping operations using batching or parallelization while monitoring failures and maintaining stability.
